Save R Planet Kids

This year Save R Planet Kids representatives were involved with local Earth Day events such as The Lake County Department of Public Works Parks and Trails Division inaugural celebration. This was held at the Palatlakaha Environmental and Agricultural Reserve - better known as PEAR Park, in Leesburg Florida on April 20, 2008.

We also attended the Covanta Energy celebration in Okahumpka Florida on the 21st of April as well as Earth Day in The Villages, Lady Lake Florida. We were warmly received by the community through our informational kiosk introducing the community to the SRP educational materials and goals for the future. It’s been a busy week!

SAVE-R-PLANET KIDS is making headlines once again.  We are currently holding fun and exciting presentations to the children in our area about the Three “R’s”, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.  These interactive presentations are being held at the Leesburg, Fl. Public Library on a monthly basis. We are also holding presentations in our local schools.  We are currently working on an exciting project scheduled for release on Earth Day 2008. The BIG BOOK OF LEARNING FUN. This publication is a unique and unprecedented educational activity book for our children ages 5-12 and features activities, games, coloring pages, even it’s own original comic book! Meet the SAVE-R-PLANET KIDS and their hero, ENVIROMAN and get ready to blast off on a fun filled learning adventure on how YOU can become an Environmental Champion!

Renae Daniels strapped on a pair of roller skates Tuesday night for a special occasion when she and other children attended the Save-R-Planet Kids innaugural membership drive at the Leesburg Skate World.

“I heard about this through a friend of mine and decided to come and see what it was all about,” Daniels, 15, said.

She learned how much it helped to recycle and make the environment around her a better place. From what she saw at the drive, Daniels thinks the message was clear.
